Context
The project was a complete refont of the old website for ESAV (École Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech). Founded in 2006 and supported by filmmakers like Martin Scorsese, it is a leading creative school in Africa focused on cinema and visual arts.
Problem
The main challenge was to build a digital platform that respects their sophisticated design style while simultaneously attracting new students and remaining perfectly readable for parents — two very different audiences.
Solution
A clean, grid-based architectural layout that uses bold typography and cinematic imagery to reflect the school's creative DNA, paired with a simplified navigation system for academic information.
Product Thinking
Visual storytelling is at the heart of the UX. We prioritized program discovery through large-scale visuals while maintaining a strict information hierarchy for the admission process.
Architecture
Built with Next.js for high performance and SEO, integrated with a flexible CMS to allow the school to showcase new student films and design projects seamlessly.
